Free Poker
Several outfits play free bar poker in Fort Collins:
Denver Poker Tour hosts events in the Fort Collins/Loveland/Greeley area Sunday-Thursday nights. According to the website registration begins at 6, but to guarantee yourself a seat right away you can usually call and put your name on the list earlier in the day. All events begin at 7, except for some special tournaments.

An interesting new event...City Limits is now hosting women-only poker lessons and tournaments on Saturday afternoons. Lessons begin at 1:30, tournament at 2.
Some of the bars in Old Town have started free tournaments with a cash payout.

A remarkable 5,619 players signed up for the legendary $10,000 buy-in main event, which began on July 7. At 7 am July 16, a new champion was crowned: Joseph Hachem from Melbourne, Australia. This is Hachem's first WSOP event, ever. A dedicated poker player, he chose to wait until his children were older before making the journey to Vegas to participate in the world series.
