Adam, I thought I'd leave you a page to fill out how it feels to have pocket Aces sucked out by A-J - KeithSchwols
Let me set the stage....my first time playing with this poker group. I'm doing OK with a mix of cards, not the big stack or the small stack. I look down and see pocket Aces in late position...FINALLY some premium cards.
I decide to put in a raise and (reading Keith's mind) Keith thinks that I am trying to steal the blinds. He re-raises a significant amount of chips. I pause for a bit and go ALL IN. Even though I have Keith covered, he calls. Over 1/2 of the total chips are in the pot.
Pretty confident, I turn over my A-A and Keith turns over A-J. Keith then says "Well, I guess I'm going to need runner-runner Jacks on the flop". Dealing, Ann asks Keith "how much do you love me?" then proceeds to lay down the flop. As you can probably guess by now, J-J comes up on the flop. From an odds calculator, I was a 93% favorite to win. Of course, an odds calculator cannot account for love
Overall, I took a bad beat, but I still had a great time (plus a good story to share). - AdamBlock
***On my behalf, I must say that I have absolutely NO skill in dealing from the bottom of the deck - it must have really been love!!!*** ~ Ann
